Summer School!!!!!!!
I will be teaching one of the 3 Kindergarten classes in the summer session! I am so excited. I got the call this afternoon.
Also, I interviewed for a 3rd grade position last week (2 more interview tomorrow so I should know soon) at the school that I'm currently doing a long term in (and taught PT in last year). Today a 1st grade teacher announced that she was retiring. Another possibility! I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high, but it is so hard. Any job vibes you could send would be great!

How has 2nd grade been going?
Well since I should be grading papers.....
2nd grade is going really well. They are a group of well behaved kids and most of them stay on task. I have one that decided he was going to drag his feet.... so he has been carrying around a clipboard with his work on it - I just kept adding to it. Today we played games, colored, and generally had a good time - he worked on a capitalization sheet :-( Then amazingly enough he finished all of his work! Guess he wants to play tomorrow.
I was pretty swamped in the beginning because I had no idea what they had done or really where they should be at this point but with a lot of help from a wonderful teaching team I'm catching up.
Well grades are due tomorrow and I'm not finished... so back to the books I go!
