What are you reading?  What do you think of it?

Re: Weekly Book Post

  • I am still reading Dragonfly in Amber.  I am down to the last 70 pages or so, finally!  I am enjoying it, I have just found that I cannot read super long books when I am really busy.

I am listening to Flyboys.  It is a WWII history book.  It is good, but I feel like it is a bit repetitive.

I must say, I am looking forward to this time next week.  By then school will be out and I should have my room all packed.  Woohoo!

  • Over the weekend, I read 11/22/63.  After flying through that in two days, I now cannot get myself to pick up another book.  I LOVED 11/22/63.

Wow!  I cannot image flying through a book that long!  I would love that much time to just sit and read.  I haven't had that in ages!

  • I am in the middle of Devil in the White City. It is set during the late 1800's and is about building the world's fair in Chicago and a serial murderer during that time. Parts of it are really interesting and a good deal of it I have skimmed. It's a good read, but not a huge page turner.

I had either the flu or food poisoning (not sure which) for 2 1/2 days.  H could tell when I finally started getting better because I finally turned off the tv and picked up the book!  Now I'm unemployed for the summer so I have TONS of time, and reading is inexpensive when I use the library. But I don't want to pick up another book right now after that one.  I really really enjoyed it, so I probably need to find some fluff that looks a little interesting to get back into reading.

  • I am reading Popped, another mystery in the series I read.  It is good.  Only 2-3 more books to read in the series!!!
