Hello

Hi Ladies!

I see we got our anniversary board up.  It's strange to not have wedding stuff to do.  How has everyone been?

    Hi Ladies!

I see we got our anniversary board up.  It's strange to not have wedding stuff to do.  How has everyone been?

    THIS

Ha!  I think I'm going through withdrawals.  It does feel like we're getting into our normal summer routine though so life is good.  I've actually found time to read again which is always nice.

  • Right now I have been focusing on MIL and trying to actually cook more. Other than that I thought I have been having withdrawls and boredom.
  • I have been trying to cook more and read more. I am going to try to get to the gym more but I miss my husband when I go. I want to enjoy our time together when I can.

  • hey there! it is kinda strange not to be doing wedding stuff.... but i have to admit.... I LOVE IT!!! i was getting kinda burned out.... and now, i still have all this stuff in my extra bedroom that i have to figure out something to do with.... before the wedding it had a purpose... now it just looks like a truck hauling sunflowers and burlap exploded in there.... ugh.... i have been sincerely avoiding it... :) other than that, life is amazing! i love being a wifey! not alot changed, we lived together before we got married. but, still awesome.... :)

  • I am in full school mode but I have replaced my wedding projects with House projects. I am currently re-doing our Master bedroom and doing all the spring cleaning I should have finished months ago!
  • I really enjoyed wedding planning, but I have moved onto figuring out how I will be decorating our house that we are closing on this month!

I also am using my time for our new kitten, Delilah, as well as my job, and enjoying time with DH on the lake :)

  • I LOVE not wedding planning anymore.  I LOVE being a wife and all that that entails.  It is fabulous.  I've been trying to read a little more often, but too busy with summer details and enjoying being outdoors.  I am training for a marathon in August (but honestly my motivation has gone haywire lately on that!).  I really just want to come home from work and sip a lemonade and enjoy summer nights....

Also, H and I are thinking of starting our own business which is a bridal boutique.  I had thought about doing it long before getting engaged and then going through the whole process myself, I found it even more interesting and needed in our area.  We have one boutique in our 50 mile radius which is also where I found my dress at.  It started out as a good experience and then when she lied to me about ordering my sister's dress and it came almost 2 months late, I have even more incentive!  One way to get back is to just do a better business......so we are seriously considering it!  We might have lost our minds after the wedding.....

  • I also love not wedding planning anymore!  It was great, but we had a longer engagement (just over a year and a half) so by the end I was just over it.  Marriage is much better than being engaged =]

I'm enjoying reading more, working on our house & planning decorating projects more, and relaxing a bit more!  My MOH is getting married in August so I have a few weekend I'm busy doing stuff with that (I'm a BM).

H and I plan on opening our own practice someday, so that's another project to start researching.

  • Hi!  I am also enjoying being married and not planning anymore.  I'm still finishing up the TY notes, I have a few gifts to exchange, and I need to order some pics and then I feel like the wedding will officially be behind us. ;)

We're looking for a house now, and I am so ready to move.  We love our neighborhood and living in the city, but our one bedroom condo just isn't cutting it anymore.  Most of our gifts are in storage and our closet can barely hold our clothes.  Looks like we'll buy a house in the 'burbs.

Also, in about two months I am starting grad school (counseling) and we decided just a few weeks ago that I'll go FT.  Oh, and we're trying to get pregnant.  Lots of changes here.  It seems kind-of crazy to do so many changes at once, but we've thought a lot about it, and this is the best way.

  • It does feel a little weird not doing any wedding projects! I miss it, but I don't! Our engagement was only 9 mos long, and by the end, I was feeling burned out and ready to move on.

Our day to day lives haven't changed, since we had been living together for 3 years. But married life so far is good! We are focusing on working on the house and I want to go back to school.

We go on our HM this Sunday, so we're pretty excited to be going somewhere and experience some new fun things. Once we get back I plan on getting back on my bicycle. I don't plan to train this year for any charity rides. I just want to have fun on my bike again.

Other than that...everything is good here and we are looking forward to what life adventures will bring us!

  • I'm so glad the wedding over! It was perfect and I have a great memory but I just want to focus on my life. Our house needs so much work we can start working on and then I'm in my last semester of grad school with my practicum that will keep me so busy!

  • I'm trying to cook more and get finances back to normal. Then my car breaks down and is a $1000 just to get it to drive legally...this does not include the big leak in the transmission or the oil pan leak. So I am getting a new car because the old one isn't even worth $1000. I'm excited to get a new car that I want so me and DH can have a more reliable vehicle! :)

  • I now have a full-time job so that takes up most of my time. I am so happy to not have vendor meetings and emails.
