One of my friends is stationed in Washington right now - he was a borderline @ss to his Seattle friends who were talking sh!t about the Thunder. It was kinda fun to watch unfold on Twitter.
Yay Thunder! Think I'm still a little in shock that they're actually in the NBA Finals.
He just needs to ask the sh!t talkers how many of them actually owned season tickets. That usually shuts them up. Seattle couldn't even secure an NBA approved arena AFTER the Thunder left - which says a lot about that city and their "loyalty" to the NBA. Screw em!
I don't think most Seattle residents have been giant *** talkers through this (said as someone who used to live there and is still friends/connected with tons of people there) so its probably unfair to say screw them for not investing money into a new arena, particularly if the goal here was to instigate with the thank you stuff.
I'm glad that the Thunder moved here and the team has been great for OKC, but I don't think it means Seattle sucks by any means.
That sucks. I despise any trash talking in either direction on this topic honestly.
Apparently my friends there just have more class than this.
I won't get started on the hate mail received in OKC either.
And FYI, if you are going to send a hateful/snappy email, make sure you have proper grammar AND know how to spell. Especially if you are refering to another group of people as "ignorant" or "redneck" um, "backwoods" you know...
