What did you parents lie to you about?
I was just thinking about this and it made me chuckle.
Mine: I used to love the movie Ghost as a kid. I didn't know until I was much older that the movie actually started BEFORE Patrick Swayze was murdered. My mom used to fast-forward our tape to the part where they are leaving the theater and get held-up and ahe always acted like it was the beginning of the movie. I found out later it was because my mom didn't want me to see the pottery wheel scene!

this. I never knew why Penny was "in trouble".
And- my mom told me I was allergic to pot and if I ever smoked I would have an asthma attack in the woods, my friends would have to run and get help, the cops would come, everyone would get caught and go to jail....... thanks mom.
That they went to church every Sunday morning at 6am and they'd quiz me and my sister on the homily because they already heard the priest give it that morning.
Meanwhile I lived in a parish with about 43728478923 priests saying 372974239 masses. No priest ever said mass twice. I was too little to realize this.
Haha my BIL used to tell his kids their tongues would turn black if they lied and only adults could see it.
My grandma always told me this!
This, except curls=whistle. I still can't whistle that great.
