So, who was brave enough to shop early today?
I didn't wake up until around 9 and didn't even think about leaving the house until around 3 this afternoon. I made a quick trip to Winn Dixie and then to TJ Max, which is fast becoming my favorite place to shop in Prattville. I stopped by Goody's not expecting to find anything and found a vest like I've been looking for. That's about it for my Black Friday adventure. Once you work retail for a while, Black Friday isn't at all appealing. LOL I hope those of you who were brave enough to do battle came home with some good stuff!
Re: So, who was brave enough to shop early today?
TI, IUIs, IVF = c/ps and BFNs
Oh, I forgot... we got our Christmas tree today, too! Now it's all decorated as well as all other Chrismas decorations out.
I did. My mother, sister and I got up at 3. We started shopping at JCPenny's at 4AM when they opened. We shopped until 5PM yesterday, non-stop. Haha, my mom put me in a wheel chair when we went to costco's.
My DH and I aren't doing much for each other this year, so I just got him a Boot dryer. For his hunting boots, because he's always taking my hairdryer and laying in down on the floor to dry his boots everytime he comes home from hunting. Lol. I also got him a few shirts.
I got DH's 2nd cousin (she's almost 3) a x-mas gift, and her bday gift (Jan13th), and dirty santa gifts for each of us for each side of family.
So I'm done shopping.
I got out but definitely not early. I did get some movies that DH has been wanting for a good price. Other than that I actually bought for me lol. I got me a really great Christmas CD, the cutest snowman advent pillow, and some cute plates and a plate rack for my kitchen (gotta love Hobby Lobby 50%off).
We are buying for three small children and there was no way I was braving the toy sections of stores...that is pure craziness!
I was... lol. We left the house at 4:35 and got to Old Navy shortly after 5. I got a cute coat for 50% off and we scored several good deals. We were in line for Target before 6, and my sister was able to get the entire SATC series for 8.98 per DVD set. She got some House seasons for 13.98 too.
I went to NY and Co and got some cute stuff BOGO 75% off, and I had good coupons on top of that, so I am a happy woman! lol
We hit the ground running at 3am....and finally got back home around 10am..after some much needed breakfast at IHOP
We got everyone on our list covered!! We got tons of great stuff at JCPenny....Best Buy...and Target! Now I just have a few more little things to buy DH and I am done
I spent the whole morning putting up the tree....and decorating. Now I am off to wrap all those gifts.
I'm a bit late answering..but I figure better late than never! I went out shopping with my BFF. She went out at 6 and I met up with her just before 8. By 8:30 Target was already sold out of all of their GPS units, but I got a cute sweater and a pair of headphones for the husband.
Then I went over to Best Buy. Two words. Mad house. They had the ends of all the aisles blocked off except for one that led around to the checkout. Stupid. Everyone was wandering down the aisles trying to find their way out and no one could. It was like a giant maze. I actually had to ask someone where to go. I got too frustrated. BUT I found a GPS for $79.99. Bought that.
Then headed out to Casual Male (big and tall store). Got DH 3 nice polos (they have extra tall sizes!) then headed to the mall.
Got a couple of long sleeved turtleneck tops from Gap and I think that's about it. I went out with a specific list. The only thing I bought that wasn't on the list was the sweater from Target, but it was only like $15 or something. I thought that was pretty good.
