Happy Friday (and weekend)!!
Good morning ladies!
Just waiting on B to get done at work so we can head back home.
What are you all doing this weekend?
Do you all celebrate father's day? It's next week! What are the plans so far? My dad's birthday is the day after so he gets two presents. He said he didn't want anything, but we are getting his car detailed and my brother and B will take him to the Founder's beerfest and Whitecaps game the week after. No idea for FIL.
Have a lovely day and weekend! Going to be good and hot!
Re: Happy Friday (and weekend)!!
no real plans other than to ride my bike as much as possible and clean the house. DH is doing the swim portion of a relay team for the GR Tri on Sunday.
I haven't even thought about father's day yet. Ugh.
No big plans this weekend. We leave for a week of vacation next Friday so I really need to get my butt in gear and get things organized. Plus I am having a Tastefully Simple party at my house next Wednesday that I need to plan and clean for. Why did I take on that right before vacation, haha I must be crazy!
Anyone know where I can get a Michigan TShirt? Not a school related one but just like a tourist type one. My FIL would love that as his Father's Day gift! He's easy to please. My dad is getting a new grill from my siblings and I. Not sure what to get DH yet. I better buy some cards today.
I already have Fathers Day cards for my father and grandfather so I am done with that. No real plans this weekend. Going to a tastefully simple party with my friend tomorrow. Not sure the rest of the weekend except cleaning and laundry.
BNG - where is home?
Good morning. I'm taking a break from coop painting. Him has the day off and we're getting a lot done on it. The chicks are moving out this weekend. Wa-hoo!
We'll do breakfast in bed for Jim (I think the donut hole and fruit skewers) on Father's Day. I have a few small things for him, and the kids are doing a craft for him this afternoon.
I have cards for both of our dads, but nothing beyond that. My parents are hosting my dad's side, and we haven't decided if we're going or not. I'd love to see them all, but it's Jim's day.
I bought Nick some whiskey stones, and a leaf blower for Father's Day. He wants a nice steak to grill too. For my dad, I have no idea. A card and....?
This weekend we have R's baptism, and a luncheon at our house. Saturday will be filled with cleaning and shopping. Sunday is the service, then lunch. Other than that we plan on trying to stay cool. We won't have our AC installed until next week. Boo.
Morning all.
No plans for the weekend yet. Today we are moving the last few things out of the old office over to the current one.
SS's last day of school is today. It's a half day and then its a 2 week break and then he's back for summer school for a month. Next week he see a therapist and after that he leave for a trip with my Dad to Ludington to help my Aunt and Uncle.
No plans for Father's day. Our friends think we should go over to there place. I told DH about it and his reaction was "She's not my Daddy". We don't really do presents, but I usually cook something. Maybe this year I'll get some Wild Sockeye Salmon and grill it.
HannahsMom - check out the Michigan shirts here http://www.michiganawesome.org/.
I think we'll get my dad an audio book because he does a fair amount of traveling for work. Not sure which one yet. Any ideas? I asked my mom and she said, "I think he would like a book about a sports hero, or a famous sports team/season, or John F. Kennedy, or even something inspirational/spiritual." We've previously gotten him one of Tim Russert's books and Dreams from my Father.
No idea for FIL.
Congrats to Baby Wop
For father's day, I'll make breakfast for Mike and then we will head to his grand parent's cottage. The front yard the kids play in is basically all mud, so super looking forward to cleaning up Henry for the ride home. Mike bought his dad a baseball hat for when he fishes and we will give my dad a nice-ish bottle of liquor.
Mike has the day off so we hit the zoo this morning. It wasn't too busy and we had a nice time. Henry's first zoo trip. He liked walking on the boardwalk and nature trail more than looking at the animals. I think Blandford nature center is more his scene.
