Weekend Plans?
Anyone have anything fun planned for this weekend??
Its my 10 year HS reunion this weekend, so H and I are going to one of the events on Saturday night. Sunday I have a baby shower to attend, which I am making the cake for. It's going to be 2 tiers, which I've never done before. Baking is more of a fun thing I do on the side, but I'm super excited about this cake since its something new/challenging. I get to hang out with H's cousin (who was a BM) tonight, while H is playing poker with some friends, so we can finalize the plan and decorate some of the cake!

I was going to post this thread not too long ago...but you beat me to it! Haha. We're actually going to have one of the first at-home weekends since the wedding so I am kind of looking forward to sleeping in, making breakfast and enjoying H's company. He does have to go in to work on Sunday, which breaks my heart because he is gone so much during the week, but we will make the most of it.
Next weekend we are visiting family and leaving for our honeymoon! So a chill weekend is going to be so nice this week.
H is working tomorrow but we have a wedding to go to in the evening. Then hopefully do some much needed yard work around the house. Our poor house and yard has been so neglected prior to the wedding, it definately needs a little TLC. Our weekends from here on out just get crazy so staying home and taking care of us and our house is a must.
We have the ice cream attachment for our mixer--OMG SO GOOD. The booklet comes with recipes and the actual attachment requires you to freeze it for 15 hours. So when you get home stick it in the freezer! Also most of the recipes require 8 plus hours of chilling...so make that in advance too.
It is so worth it though, I promise!
My family is coming to our place this weekend! We live about 3 hours away from each other now, so I am really excited to see them
We're going boating, shopping, and checking out the bars on the lake!
I have to work Saturday and H will be mowing the lawn. Exciting right?
Sunday we are getting a plane for our HM! We are heading to Colorado. So excited to get away. I've had the crappiest commuting week...yesterday it took me 2 HOURS to get to work and hour and half home, this am was another hour and a half. Hate my commute.
Tonight we are going to visit MIL in the hospital. Tomorrow H is going with my uncle out to the deer lease he is trying to get on this year. And then he's going to mow the yard. I will be cleaning and doing laundry. Sunday we are cooking out at our house with my parents.
Gah, good to know! I've been fantasizing about ice cream making since we found out someone was getting us the mixer- It got here yesterday, so we're ready to go nuts
My mother has been living at our house since just after the wedding (she watched our dog while we were on our HM) so she wants to take us out to dinner (and mini-golf) tonight, but H has a plan for dinner at home.. we'll see who wins
I just love how well they get along!
Tomorrow we'll be headed to Fenway for PMC day... Lunch is included, and we also get an autograph session, so we'll be there pretty much all day.
Hopefully Sunday is a nice day, so H and I can enjoy some outdoorsy time, either riding bikes, or taking the pup to a dog park... something! No plans as of yet, though.
(Notice there is no mention of cleaning the house, or finding homes for all of our gifts? hahaha Maybe next weekend!)
This is our first weekend home together! (Last weekend FI worked and I slept... we're so exciting!)
Saturday we're planning on going through all of our gifts, figuring out what we want to return, what we still need, and what we have in gift cards. I'm not sure what we'll do Sunday, maybe play with the dog and try out our new grill!

Tonight we have to go grocery shopping then we will probably just hang out at home. Tomorrow H has to work until noon then we might do something fun. As for Sunday church in the morning and that night we will be having dinner with my family.
