A twist on the topic below: what did you lie about as a kid?
In kindergarten, I convinced my teacher that I was born in Ireland (I think I told her I was adopted). I continued my ruse over several months until parent-teacher conferences when my teacher said to my parents, "Oh, that's so nice you adopted her from Ireland."
My parents response: "What are you talking about? She was delivered a month late and born at Lankenau Hospital."

i can't think of anything at the moment, but i'm sure i have plenty!
Whenever someone would ask me if I was related to Michelle Pfieffer, I would tell them she is my cousin, even though our names are spelled differently, she did that for the movie biz - you know they have crazy requests. I even got to go on set with her when she was catwoman.
You'd be surprised how many people actually asked, then again, Batman was pretty popular back then.
