How is everyone after the hot weekend? It's only supposed to be 72 tomorrow - yeah!!!!!!!
For some reason, I don't feel well this morning. I hate that feeling.
Re: Monday Randoms
Good Morning Girls. It is the first day of summer vacation and I woke up at 4am! Awesome, not so much. I swear raising a teenager could kill ya. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger they say. If that's true I'm going to be one strong B!tch in the end.
Today we are moving the last of the electronics that can be recycled out of the old office. I'm so ready for tomorrow so I can grocery shopping.
went biking this past weekend on the Musketawa trail and saw two garter snakes slithering in front of us! Eek!
I think we need a new scale. Ours is kind of old and even though I've been exercising a ton (I have a bodybugg knockoff) and eating well (tracking on Myfitnesspal) for a week now the scale says I'm either up a pound or lost 7, and it swings back and forth when I weigh myself a couple of times in a row. It's so frustrating.
Good morning!
Charity - hope that you feel better.
Deeder - good luck with the last of the move!
No big plans for us today. Hannah just woke up from a 3 hour morning nap - maybe she shouldn't have gotten up at 5am! Haha.
We went to GH on Saturday and walked along the boardwalk area and down town, ate some lunch, and watched the boats with Hannah. DH and I said some day we will have a big boat to take out on the lake...some day!
Yesterday we went to Holland to do some shopping - Old Navy and Kohls mostly. I am no longer driving to Grandville unless I really need to. Holland really has a lot to offer and I couldn't believe how quiet the stores were - so much better than the mall!
Busy weekend! We spent most of Saturday cleaning and preparing for our our little baptism luncheon, then on Sunday we had church, and our luncheon that went really well! It was a bit warm without AC, but the breeze was nice.
Only 4 more days until our new furnace and AC units get installed. I can't wait.
No real plans this week. Try to get a few more workouts in now that we've slowed down a bit at work.
Hope that you guys were too uncomfortable this weekend,
We were busy busy busy! Friday night we went up to Winston Speedway in Rothbury. They held their annual Kid's Night. It's a lot of fun for the kids, bounce houses, face painting, every kid gets a toy, a bag of treats, a free meal (hot dog, chips, soda/juice), and a raffle ticked to win a bike. Both of my girls won a bike, they were really excited.
Saturday, my husband was up early. Then went to work on his race car at his friend's house. He left saying he would be home by 1:30. He called at 2:30 and said that he hadn't even touched the car he ended up helping with other things. Our original plan was to go to Berlin to watch a few friends race. He got home around 4, and didn't feel like going anywhere. I was all set to stay home and relax with some popcorn and a redbox movie. When an hour later he decided to deliver a race car to another friend that lives near Thunderbird. So we ended up at Thunderbird Raceway.
Yesterday he woke up and loaded the baby up then went to Kent City to get race car parts, then when our other daugther and I woke up we ran to Muskegon to run some errands, grabbed lunch at our favorite Mexican Restaurant there, then came home to relax for a few before heading out to a friend's son's Open House to help get set up, cook, etc. We left there about 5, once we got home H left to work on his race car, and I hung out with the girls until they went to bed. Which was an ordeal since they were up late all weekend.
This morning I woke up to get ready to walk to the grocery store before it got too hot, got the girls dressed, loaded the baby in the stroller, and my 4yo on her bike, a few bottles of water, started walking and realized that the back tire on the stroller was flat. So I guess we are stuck here until H gets home from work. And hopefully it isn't a long day. I know he has been pretty busy lately. Not having a car really stinks!
Morning!
Weekend was emotional. Funeral was long and sad. It was nice to see how loved she was/is. I hate seeing my mom cry. I was glued to her side. Some things don't change. I've always been like that.
Just studying away. B's parents are coming up Friday night, so I need to gradually clean for that.
Going to be (more) scarce until the bar is over. :-( Ahh well. Nobody said it would be easy. I'll check in every now and then.
Ta ta!
Glad it sounds like everyone's weekends went well. BnG - I know what you mean about seeing your Mom cry - if either of my parents shed a tear I'm instantly crying too. It's good you were there to help comfort her.
Our weekend was also busy - we had friends in town for a wedding so we traipsed around GR on Friday, I had a 5K race Saturday morning and then Andy and I biked 30 miles before meeting back up with our friends post-wedding reception. On Sunday we did a lot of work around the house including getting our herbs planted. *fingers crossed* they stay green and tasty.
Do you know the driver Dave Lake at Berlin?
Do you know the driver Dave Lake at Berlin?
Sounds familiar, but I don't know him. Most of our friends drive 4cylinders. My husband raced out there a couple years ago before he moved to dirt track. We know Billy Eppink, Caleb Bisacky was a few years ahead of me in high school. Ryan Hamm used to race 4cyls with my husband. I think they all drive modifieds now. Other than them, everyone we know is a 4cyl driver
Ahhh ok.
