So we had serious hail damage last summer and were issued money for a new roof. We finally are coming around to getting it done. Since we waited so long, I have a few questions for anyone who might have experienced something similar. After we complete the work, we will be reimbursed for the difference right? They gave us 3500 and it'll cost 5500 to repair? Is it too late to get the difference? Is there a timeframe?
Thanks in advance!
Re: Home Insurance Question
It might vary by policy or state.
Someone I knew who had a major home fire had 12 months to submit receipts for payment, and anything after that was on the homeowner. But in that instance I don't think she took a payment up front, just as expenses were incurred.
