I'm still driving my (old) Jeep Wrangler that I bought right after I got my license. Its a 1998, which now that I type that out, it seems SO old! It started making some weird thumping/squeezing noise just the other day, and instead of letting it be, and possibly making it worse, I decided to take it into the shop to get looked at....
Last time I had to do any work on it, it cost me $750, and I cannot afford to throw that kind of money on such an old vehicle, even though I love this Jeep.
I also can't afford to buy a new car and have a monthly payment at this point, so please keep your fingers crossed that its something minor and not too expensive!!!!

Re: Car is in the shop :/
My car is a 2005 and while it seems like it's still newer it was av ery cheap car that my parents could afford at the time. It has been paid off for almost 2 years now which is great/ But the past few years I have had to fix so much stuff. Not to mention the squeaking noise it has made for over a year and the fact that I have to have someone with me in order to put gas in my car since the spring that opens the door broke.
Sending you good vibes! I feel your pain and hope it gets better and it's an easy fix.
UPDATE......my Jeep is not fixable. I'm hysterically crying at work, just called H and my Dad.
The frame is rotted out, and not fixable without spending a TON of $, and even doing that, the guy said it wouldnt be worth it.
I have to talk to the mechanic to see how long I may have, so that I can try and start looking for a new car and save in the mean time....I'm hoping I have a week, or two....
