Tick Tock

We made an offer on Sunday on a property that is about to go into short sale. Highest and best offers were due to the seller by 5:00PM yesterday, who then has to select one by 9:00 tonight and take it to the bank for short sale approval. I'm pretty anxious waiting for 9:00, just to get a "no" or a "keep waiting."

Re: Tick Tock

  • Keep waiting is going to be the theme of a short sale anyway.  If you really love the house and you have time to wait, then put an offer in as a back-up even if they don't take your offer.  We were originally the second back-up offer on a short sale; ours ended up being the 4th offer that got sent to the bank and now we're set to close in 2.5 weeks.  Sometimes patience pays off :)

  • We didn't hear anything until this morning, and that was, predictably, "keep waiting." I'm trying to keep my mind busy, but without anything else to do during the summer (I'm a teacher), I want to scream!

    I need a hobby. :-/ LOL!
