HI Ladies,
It's been a busy few days so I haven't been around. Just wanted to say hi and see how everyone is doing. I hate to post and run but I'm working a 12 hour shift today and have to get gas in the car along the way.
So what's for dinner? I feel like we are in a supper rut....

I'm an avid cook. I made a really delicious salmon dish for dinner the other night. If you are interested let me know and I will send it to you.
Also made a Shepherd's pie that had hubby going back for seconds. I can send that one too

I'm delaying getting ready for work, because well, I can. Greg is going to a Braves game tonight with his friends and I'm going to a movie with a friend. I'll probably make a sandwich or something for myself since he'll eat at the game.
My sister recommended a really easy recipe which I tried last week and it was very good. Grilled goat cheese and fig preserves on cinnamon raisin bread. Very good. I may make that.
i think a "what's for dinner?" thread might be a good one to do every day!
i love to cook, but we all get in those ruts where we need inspiration.
tonight i'm making fajitas, we LOVE mexican food so we do this one a lot. homemade guac! yum!! :-D

We have a lot of leftovers in the fridge and tomorrow is trash day so I'll be looking for creative ways to use up what we have so I can clean out the rest.
I'll take those recipes. I have one that I enjoy for Shepherd's pie, but love trying new stuff and we are huge salmon fans so send 'em my way!
I'm REALLY hoping we can grill tonight as DH spent the last two nights assembling the grill off our registry. If worst comes to worst we'll be grilling in the garage. We plan on making BBQ chicken, grilled corn on the cob in the husk, and sweet potatoes with cinnamon butter. We're going to grill a lot of chicken so I can make BBQ chicken pizza and quesadillas later in the week.
Last night I didn't know what I wanted to eat for dinner so I made two. Enchiladas with Spanish rice and seasoned black beans. And turkey and spinach lasagna with rosemary and cracked pepper biscuits. The biscuits were really good, but didn't really go with the lasagna, I actually think I'm going to eat them with breakfast as they tasted phenomenal with honey.
I'd be happy to share any recipes if anyone wants.

I'm not cooking tonight because we got back from our honeymoon 3 days ago and then went to my brother's graduation party the next day where my mom gave me trays and trays full of food to go home with. So we'll be having yummy leftovers
I'll start being a good wife later in the week lol :-p
