OMG - I'm not planning Father's Day again!!

Again, we have Father's Day coming up and neither my sister, nor DH siblings have planned anything for their fathers.  I just an email to my sister and SIL asking if they had made plans for Fathers Day and if we can piggyback on with them.

  • I wouldn't plan it then because it shouldn't always fall on your shoulders. I would just do my own thing if they don't reply or have plans. A relaxing day at home might appeal to your DH more anyway.

  • All I got Tim was a card. I think I may have A paint a picture for him. My father/father in law will get cards from the girls that's it.

  • Yeah, if you don't feel like getting stuck planning it for the whole family year after year, I would just do something with your own little family and maybe send the granddads a small gift from your daughter?
  • I don't mind doing something w/ them for Father's Day, but it annoys me that no one else initiates or plans something with them EVER.  I would feel spiteful NOT seeing them on Father's Day/Father's Day weekend at least, but seriously, someone else can be the fricking party planner one time!

This is usually me too but luckily I'm an only child and DH only has one sibling. It can be crazy enough just trying to plan stuff with them.  DH never initiates anything on his own and I'm not going to start buying gifts for his side of the family.

  • Stand your ground and don't do it!!
