need ideas for a side dish for a family dinner picnic
my daughter's school is doing a family picnic at a park next week. It's at 5:00pm they have asked us to bring a side dish in a disposable container that will feed at least 8 ppl. It can't be a salad dish bc other ppl have been asked to bring that. I need something I can make hrs before. I was thinking corn? I could do corn on the cob, it would be cold at the picnic though. Want to steer away from anything with milk in it so it doesn't spoil. They will be bbq-ing so I guess you could toss your ear on the grill for a warm up if you really needed to. I can't think of anything else to make. TIA

How about chips and homemade salsa? This is my favorite salsa recipe (from the blog "Brown Eyed Baker")
