Who drives?

If you and DH/SO are going somewhere together who drives? I almost always drive and some friends pointed out the other day that was odd to them.

DH always drives when we're together, and we take my truck. The only time I've driven instead of him is when I've been his designated driver

We take my car everywhere so I drive 99.9% of the time. The only time C drives is when I am super tired or when I am intoxicated.

It depends. If I feel like dying that day, DH will drive. If not, I will drive.

H drives, we split our time between cars. Usually it depends on what we're doing. If we need to get a bunch of stuff at Home Depot, his car is the better bet. Mine's better for groceries.

I let him drive, because I hate driving his car, and if I drive my car, he pushes buttons the entire time. If he's driving, he's occupied.

Usually H drives. This sounds weird but when we drive together on the highway I drive. I get really anxious when I am in the passenger seat. It's probably from when we had our wreck last year. I know it drives him nuts, but atleast I'm not griping the side of the door.

H insists on driving, but he tends to drive like a bat out of hell - so the last couple of times he's been home, I've done the driving. It'll be interesting to see how he takes back to cars when he gets home because he's spent the last six months driving tanks at like, 20mph...

It depends on where we are going, like if I'm the person who has been there before or he has. I would say we equally drive my car while going places as a family, but if we are taking his car, he always drives.

ETA: if it's a long road trip, he always drives.

The bat out of hell comment is why I do not like C's driving. I love my Acadia so when he drives I am a nervous wreak. He jerks around, tailgates people and is just a total douche when he drives so for the sake of my health and everyone else on the road it is best that I drive. Big Smile

Depends on which car we drive. H's car is a standard and I can drive it fine, I just don't like to, especially in the city, so he usually drives it. If we're driving my car, we'll trade off. If we're going somewhere nice, H likes to drive.

DH drives about 95% of the time. He doesn't mind it and that works for me as driving is one of my least favorite activities. I've never really liked it. I can and do drive on a daily basis, but if someone else can or will, I'm all for it. Plus we normally take DH's truck whenever we go somewhere together. Since we both have cars for our work commute, his truck sits there a lot.

If we don't have Connor with us, it's pretty even. If we do, more often me. Kids are gross so we don't let Connor have food or drinks in Kevin's car. Mine is wrecked from years of kid crumbs and I have leather seats which are easier for cleanup and a better carseat/booster, so it's just easier to take mine.

Usually me. It really annoys me. We always take my car if we are together, and out of habit I just hop in the driver's seat. I usually get pissy after I realize I'm the one driving again.

We typically split. Hubby drives my car more than I drive his. If we go out of town (especially if it is late) hubby drives.

H almost always drives. I can only think of one time off the top of my head that I have driven when we were together, and it was when he was really sick. I hate driving, and he enjoys it. It works out well for us.

We share. H drive ~60 mi roundtrip to get to work compared to my 8 mi, so half the time he's tired of driving when we go out together. When we see his friends I always end up driving, because he usually ends up drinking more than I'm comfortable with if he's going to be driving afterward.
