I am going to talk with my DH tonight when he gets home from work, unfortunately not for another 6 hours, about my job. I think it is time for me to resign from my current position at the center. I plan on continuing my job search to get hired for this coming school year and it will be so much easier to schedule interviews without having to worry what my current job will say. Everyone at work is starting to be so rude to me and treat me differently because they know I am leaving if I get hired to teach elementary. People are being denied time off because I am going to interviews. It's not fair to anyone. I am burning myself out.
I plan to look for a part time job to help us while I continue my search for an elementary position. I know we will definitely be able to pay rent for July, but am not sure about August. I wish it didn't have to come to this.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? How did you handle it?

Re: Serious Talk About Job
Married the love of my life on 1-21-12. Our princess arrived on 5-28-13.
I can't say I've been in the same position. I've been in a job I hated but I always stuck it out until I found the next one. While it makes great money sense to stick it out, it also makes it harder on you and your stress level.
Sending lots of positive vibes your way that you get a teaching job soon.
If you dont know where your rent money would come for August then it would be a wise decision to stay at your current job.
My sugestion is when you get asked for an interview and the time doesnt work for you ask for another time slot. I have never frowned upon a candidate because they couldnt come during a specific time or needed to reschedule.
