Did anyone else get to this point in the process of shopping for houses? There's just nothing out there right now that we like that is available (and in our price range!).
There was one house that we loved the pictures we saw and we loved the location - it became new on Friday, but it was listed as no showings until Monday the 4th. So we set up an appointment to see it Monday evening, but then someone signs a purchase contract at the sellers garage sale on Saturday. We didn't even get a chance to see it before we lost our chance to bid on it.
Luckily, we don't NEED to move right NOW, so I know that if I'll just be patient, the right house will come up. I'm just fed up with the whole process right now. I won't even let our realtor schedule any more showings.
Re: Feeling Disillusioned
Thanks for the encouragement, all. I think I just need to take a step back and see what happens. I'm just used to being more proactive than this, but if there's nothing we like, there's nothing we like.
I'm going to suspend the search for a week, and see what happens.
I'm starting to get there. It seems like every time we think we like a house we find things that make us feel like we're going to be compromising to much.
I just have to keep reminding myself that we don't have to move right now and that something will come along.
