I am planning a bday party
for my baby girl. I don't know how this happened.
Anyway, anyone used Pinkitzel bakery in Edmond? Or have a rec on where to get awesome cupcakes?
Re: I am planning a bday party
I've heard good things about Pinkitzel but I've never been there. I like Gigi's cupcakes.
My SD went to a birthday party at Pinkitzel a few months ago, and it was really cute. She said the cupcakes were excellent, but I'm pretty sure a 7-yr-old girl isn't the best cupcake critic.
I didn't get to try any.
I highly recommend Cuppies & Joe on NW 23rd. I've sampled the cuppies there many times, and they've always been excellent.
I agree with this in general, but I'm 100% sure that the atmosphere part is lost on a one year old. I've had pinkitzel, Gigi's, and the cupcake lounge and like all three. I don't think there's enough difference that you MUST pick one local cupcake shop over the others so I'd probably check around to see which had the best deals for a large number.
This is a good point. However, is a one year old's bday party REALLY about the one year old or its parents?
Boymom and I stopped by Pinkitzel downtown once, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I vaguely recall the kid's birthday parties being a bit on the pricey side. It seemed amazing, but I almost wonder if it would be better for an older birthday she'll remember because it's so cool.
As far as Edmond cupcakes, Cupcakes to Go-Go has my vote.
my bookshelf!

Yes, more expensive than other venues. It was close to $300, wasn't it?
I would def go with Pinkitzel.
