Selling Dog treats

Anyone make and sell treats? I already have a pet sitting business but am expanding my brand to treats. I live in FL and have a few ideas of how to market them. Any thoughts? I am going to have organic ingredients and wheat free and grain free treats.

Re: Selling Dog treats

  • I don't sell them but I do make my own.  Anything with pumpkin makes your house smell AMAZING.

This is where i ordered my recipes and cutters.  She sends you the recipes on nice index cards.  They are all recipes for dry treats.  Since they bake at only 250 degrees for about four hours, the slow baking process makes for one awesome smelling house! lol

  • Oh and pumpkin is best for dogs with sensitive systems.  If you'd like I could just give you the recipe for the pumpkin treats.  You can pretty much change it up to add any liquid source you would like to replace the pumpkin.

  • Thank you! I have a book with recipes, and want to make a business out of it. I know that there are regs in other states, but just don't want to make a "fuss".
