2nd Birthday ideas
What did you do for your child's 2nd birthday? I was trying to think of something outdoors where the kids can play and the adults can watch and talk but know you always run the risk of rain. While our daughter will be turning 2 many of the other kids (older sibling included) will be between 3 and 8. Was just curious what others did for their 2-year olds.
Re: 2nd Birthday ideas
We went to the Como Zoo for Carly's 2nd Birthday. We just met everyone at the zoo by the Carousel 10:00 (which is when they open), walked around the zoo until everyone was hungry/had enough. Then I packed a picnic lunch and we went across to the park area and ate there. I made cupcakes, but only brought enough for the kids. The kids were also able to play on the park they have. We had a small group, so it worked out pretty well. We also had a bbq later with just family at my parent's house
It was actually overcast the day we went, but thankfully, the rain held out, and I think it caused the zoo to be less busy, which was awesome!

I have winter babies so it is indoors only for us. I've only done family parties so far, but I have a list of fun birthday ideas for the future.
Here are a few I've been to:
The Giggle Factory - It is really clean and nice. They have a kitchen and lots of chairs and tables. They have a big play area for the older kids and then a small toddler area. You can also rent a bounce house.
The Little Gym - They had coordinators that did fun games with the kids and then let them have free time to play. They had a room for food and gifts.
