Hey ladies!
I took yesterday off and cleaned my entire house, I even organized and threw away tons of crap that I've had sitting in our bathroom closets for like a year. It felt so good!

I need to de-clutter our house. It's clean, but we need to start getting rid of little stuff that's been around too long.
I went to bed at 9:00 last night. It felt good to get some sleep! The night before last I couldn't sleep at all. I finally fell asleep around 3:00, but had to get up at 6:15.
Morning. I didn't get very far cleaning yesterday but the kitchen floors look better. Today we are removing the last few items from the old office and then that is it. It has a new owner as of tomorrow. SS has 2nd psych appointment today and I think I'll set up the next 3 appointments. He isn't to excited because he says it's weird to talk to someone he doesn't know, but we had to point out that he doesn't talk about things with people he does know. Which is part of the reason he is going.
Some how today I still have to get groceries and make dinner and I have no meal plan either.
It's going to be a hot one today and I have to go grocery shopping after wk - blah!!! Probably be sweating when I am done.
WOP - did you get furnace and ac done yet?
We didn't grow up eating hummus, and I remember years ago (10 maybe?) not knowing what it was and seeing at a party. I tried it, and since then have been eating it regularly. My family made weird grocery purchases with bad logic though. I asked my dad why he didn't buy more bananas once as a kid, and he said "Because they're expensive". Um what? I can buy 20 bananas for the price of one box of crappy snack cakes. I would have rather had fruit than junk food, which we always had in the house then. Now I very very rarely buy cookies, chips or the like at the store. It just doesn't sound good to me. I want to make sure baby R grows up with a healty diet too, so I'd rather not have those options in the house to begin with.
Good Morning! Glad some of you got some rest and cleaning done. I'm well rested but my house is poorly cleaned at the moment. Oh well. :-)
I do not think hummus is weird or unique, but I also didn't know what it was until college. I'm not sure if that's because it has grown in popularity in the past few years or because I came from a house where the most ethnic food I ever ate was Chinese takeout.
We had a great weekend - one of my BFs in Chicago had a beautiful memorial walk for her daughter - they had way more support than they ever anticipated and it was a great day. They also far exceded their fundraising goal for FSMA and I think they were really touched by the whole event.
Woke up to no a/c this morning! Called maintenance and he had it fixed in 30 seconds. I guess the breaker tripped. You would think the office would have had me check it when I called to make the work order. I feel bad that I didn't think to check it myself.
I finally get a car tomorrow, after not having one for a few weeks. It will be great on the really hot days, and to go hang out with my parents at their house. But otherwise, I really like being able to walk every where (and safely). And it lets the girls use up some energy!
What's everyone doing for lunch?
I'm running home. I'll have a Boca Burger and a salad, I imagine.
Soup probably because it's easy.
I had boring PBJ.
I never new what hummus was until a few years ago. SS loves and DH & I are indifferent.
Tonight I'm going to try and make black bean & rice enchiladas. Crossing my fingers that it turns out.
Afternoon ladies! I'm just taking a break from vacation to check in with GR life.
We are enjoying vacation. It's hot here in Missouri but we have spent lots of time in the pool or lake. It's nice to visit with extended family - some I haven't seen since our wedding. Hannah is a little overwhelmed by all the people but we are able to give her alone time which helps.
Of course the AC at our house died on Saturday night and our neighbor called to tell us it was making horrible noises. It will be fixed tomorrow. If our cat wasn't in the house we would have just left it until we got back but it will be nice to come home to a cooled house.
Off to swim some more! Have a good week everyone!
