Ideas for out-of-town visitors
Yes, I know I've lived here all my life, but I need some suggestions about fun things to do with DH's friend and his wife, who are visiting from Chicago this weekend. They have been here before, and we've done the Art Museum and all of the historical sites with them on those visits. I'm looking for something fun to do during the day on Friday before we go to a Phillies game that night. Thanks in advance!
Re: Ideas for out-of-town visitors
-Franklin Institute
-Camden Aquarium
-Morgan's Pier
Just a few thoughts.
Thanks, all! I'll send them a few suggestions to choose from--I'm hoping that the weather won't be blazing hot and they will be up for doing something outdoorsy like a bike ride or Longwood.
Barnes Foundation
Tour Valley Forge or Brandywine Battlefields
Eastern State Penitentiary
In addition to the suggestions above, DH's family (who lives out of town) loves going to Scoop De Ville or Di Bruno Bros and eating it in Rittenhouse Square.
I was going to say Segways too - even better if there's a Groupon!
Have fun!
I just saw the Segway deal this morning and e-mailed them about it! I've always wanted to do one of those! I've also decided that I'm taking them to Franklin Fountain no matter where we end up, mostly because I'm seriously craving one of their massive ice cream sundaes.
Mt. Vesuvius Sundae!!!! Love it love it!
