Please let me vent a moment. It took us 2 hours to get from Collegeville to Queens Village last night. We had SO much fun at dinner, and would do this on a regular basis, if it didn't take 2 FLUCKING hours to get there. It took us 20 minutes to get home. I so long to live in the city, but there is NO way I can justify that commute.
FWIW DH and I grew up outside of DC traffic is nothing new, it's just frustrating

Re: Philly Traffic -vent
Anytime we have a destination that is South of Market Street, we usually avoid the Schuylkill and take 476 to 95 to get to the city (this works especially well for Phillies games). Yes, it is longer mileage-wise, but you are likely to keep moving and there are options for detours.
I think traffic has been worse in general this week. My boss commutes to CC from Phoenixville and she's been having an awful time (more awful than normal). There's also been construction on 76.
I usually take the train but I drove home to Ardmore yesterday. I don't think I'd be able to drive that commute everyday! My blood was boiling by the time I got home.
