Baby shower locations Lower Bucks

Hi all,

I'm planning a baby shower for a friend of mine and we need shower location ideas.  She's in Bensalem, so we were looking somewhere up that way.

Any ideas would be good, shower may be anywhere from 20-40 people...possibly co-ed.  Looking in August.

Thanks so much!

  • My bridal shower was at Cafe Lamberti's in Feasterville.  It was quite nice!

I second Lamberti's Cucina! I had my BFF's shower there and I've been to a few showers there. The food is great and it's super cheap.

ETA... OHHHH but you want August? They may already be booked up. I booked my BFF's shower probably 6 months in advance and even then I had to work dates around like crazy with her family because they were booked. I'd look into it now... you're kinda running out of time.

ETA (again): For a small group like that, you could do Uno's outside of Neshaminy Mall. They have a nice party room. There is also Georgine's, Toscana 52, The Buck Hotel, Johnny Apples... I have more but have to run to a meeting.

  • My bridal shower was at the Buck hotel and was very nice.  Theres also the brick hotel, Christines in Yardley (just went to a baby shower there recently and it was beautifully done) or for a small group there is a tea shop in Hulmeville that does a really nice job too, but it's small.
  • I went to a shower at the Buck Hotel too, it was nice.  I'm just not sure if we want that or maybe something more casual.

I did pass along some of the other ideas to my other friend who knows the area better than me.

Any bar/restaurant type places have private rooms?  I had my baby shower at a bar in Delco and thought something like that might be good for a co-ed shower.

Mike's Bar and Grill in Warminster has a room.

  • i had my wedding at the buck hotel- it's beautiful.  but if you want something less formal the other suggestions are all nice. or there's the continental tavern in yardley. they have a private room upstairs for parties. or there's the hulmeville inn in hulmeville/ penndel, just across the border from bensalem. it's a bar but they have a nice private outdoor area you can use for parties. but maybe too hot for august to be outside.  also, i went to a shower at an uno's in langhorne , right next to sesame place. they have a private room in the back and it was actually nicer than i expected.

  • The Eddington House!  Fantastic bar, and good food.  It is very close to where I grew up (in Bensalem) and the owners are good friends of my family.  We just had a family dinner there a few months ago.

I had a shower there for my friend years ago.  Bryan and Gina are the owners and they are super nice and the prices are reasonable

Wait, I think Daddy and Momma met at E-house.  Duh!  Thanks Eagles!

  • DO NOT go to the Brick Hotel in Newtown.  I just hosted a bridal shower there and the owner is impossible to work with.  Just horrible.

I went to a bridal shower at La Stalla, and my bridal shower was at The Temperance House, both in Newtown.

And that quickly I forgot about your bad experience with them.   I need to get out of the habit of recommending them now that they're under new ownership!

  • I had my bridal shower at Georgine's in Bristol. Very cheap/reasonable prices. I had my bridal shower there... but it's fine for a baby shower too!. Theres different rooms that you can rent out depending on how many people are coming.
