our 2 year anniversaries are coming up!
I just booked a night at the same B&B where we spent our wedding night. I am looking forward to enjoying the room a little more than we did that night! Everything seemed so rushed the last time.
Anyone else doing anything to celebrate?

I already posted about this, but we are going to Mackinac Island in Michigan. If anyone has been here before, please fill me in. It was the only vacation that I could seem to talk DH into. I guess it helps that BIL and SIL live in Ann Arbor and we're going to visit them. They are also going to watch our dog while we're on Mackinac.
A B&B sounds fun. I wish we did stuff like that more often! I guess I could probably talk to DH into it after we are TTC

I know what you mean. My goal is to save to go back to Hawaii for our 10 year anniversary. I think it is worth not going on big vacations for a while to go back!
I am totally with you. We wouldn't have gone anywhere this year had my ILs not paid for us to take this trip with them.....but that is a rant in and of itself.

I was recently laid-off, so we don't have a budget to do too much, BUT I have a really fun idea planned!
DH planned out 1-year anniversary last year, so I told him to relax and let me plan our 2-year celebration. Since we recently moved to the city we got engaged in, I've decided to re-create our engagement day! We'll be going to the Shedd Aquarium (where we got engaged), and then we're going out to dinner at the same restaurant he took me to for dinner that night, followed by drinks at the top of the John Hancock Tower, just like the night we got engaged

We just booked one night at Harrah's in Atlantic City for the weekend before our anniversary. We aren't big gamblers but the hotel is beautiful & they have great restaurants there. It is almost impossible for us to get a babysitter for an overnight, but we managed to patch a few together to make it work. We aren't exchanging gifts, 24 hours alone together is gift enough for both of us!!! I can't wait!
On our actual anniversary we are going to take the baby and my son (my skids will be with their mom that day) into the city for the day. We have a favorite place for lunch and a special bakery we like to visit. Plus my DS loves to go to Toys R Us in Times Square. We've done it for the past 3 years, only this year we'll have our baby girl too! I'm really excited for that as well
