I'm working on this coaching application for the HS I really want to teach at and it's making me nauseous. I want this job so bad. I just got an email from one of my HS teachers I keep in touch with responding to a vent email I sent about how my ILs are driving me crazy and she basically said that a nice perk to getting this job (besides having a job I want) is I'd get to move away from them and that I do really need to move away.
No pressure, right? This is only my dream job and all...
What are you all up to? Any fun weekend plans? I have to work

Awww I hope you wind up getting it. I sure do know about the felling of needing to move away.
I've been off all week and work a super long day tomorrow and half day sunday before we leave for NOLA.
Work will be interesting. We have a lot of changes taking place, like an employee shuffle kind of deal. Turns out that I'm really going to wind up getting the shaft because someone can't do their job. Rather than criticize this guy and tell him how to fix it, they are simply putting him in my position and moving me to some bullshit thing. Since it's actually a demotion for him, they agreed to give him Sunday nights off and I will cover him at that time, when I originally tried to get Sunday nights off when this whole deal started going down. Not only that, but they are trying to push this weird-ass 7pm Thursday night rehearsal which is impossible for me. They just make these decisions without asking and it drives me *** insane.
So, a few days in NOLA is definitely needed at this time.
Hope you get the job, and sometimes being a little further from the family isn't a bad thing. Plus if it's a dream job that's even better!! My IL's are about 2 hours away so we see them about once month or so, just depends.
My parents are actually in town for the next week, so I have been cleaning like a crazy person before they get here tomorrow. They are staying with us all next week, which could get interesting in our 2 bedroom apt. We don't see them that often since they live in Illinois so it's always nice to have visit.
*Side note I want to boop DH on the head for all the popcorn that I found behind his chair in the living room...really you are 30 and can't find your mouth..gah!* vent over
I hope everything works out with the job!
As for our weekend, we are supposed to be leaving work as I speak to leave for a work-related picnic but it is storming out. After that we are meeting up with our friends for a late dinner and drinks. Tomorrow I am going to the farmers market and getting my something done to my hair (still undecided). Rest of the weekend will be laundry, cleaning and working on writing a paper that I am submitting to an atmospheric science journal.

We have no plans this weekend. There is a contest on the radio where you text to win. So we will have the radio on while we do whatever.

Sam has to work tomorrow. So I'm going to go visit my parents.. go shopping with my mom (for Sam's bday present.. his bday is Wednesday!), and they have a town festival we will probably stop at.
Sunday, Sam wants to go canoeing. I probably won't. I had a horrible experience last time, that made me never want to go again! So I may just have a lazy day!

Good luck with the job! I know how you feel. I've been stressing for weeks now over finding a nursing job, which are hard to come by in the area.
No fun plans this weekend. Just working insanely hard and hoping it goes by quick.

We're going to my cousin's grad party tomorrow and my sister is here visiting for the weekend so that will be nice.
