My fiance' and I have been TTC for a year now, my periods are irregular, but I have been off Depo for about 8 months now. I eat healthier, my fiance' has stopped smoking, I exercise more often as well. I have been to see a doctor but I never get anything out of the doc so I am thinking about switching doctors as well. I need advice on some things that I could do to increase the chances of conceiving a baby but with my periods being irregular I think there is a slight chance. Any advice? Only individuals with positive attitudes I have seen others being disrespectful so please talk with sense and act like you have respect ! Thanks
Re: TTC !
Do the tutorials on FertilityFriend.com. Then have sex a lot. No doctor can speed up how quickly you conceive.
And good luck dictating what sorts of responses you get here. Since, you know, this is a politics board and not the Getting Pregnant board.
Respectfully, this is a politics board, not a trying to get pregnant board. There's a whole website affiliated with this one dedicated to babies. http://www.thebump.com
Although, were you really ttc while on the depo shot?
LMFAO. I didn't even notice that. I wonder how THAT works.
Nest troll trying to get eyes back here. Nice work.
1) Depo can really mess your cycles up. It mimics pregnancy & prevents ovulation. So, just like after pregnancy, it will take your body a while (up to a year, maybe two) to regulate by itself.
2) You might not be ovulating. The only way to confirm if you are or are not ovulating is to track your cycle by taking your basal body temperature every morning when you first wake up. The pattern of rise/fall etc. will tell you, over a period of months, if you are producing eggs to be fertilized. This is called charting.
3) You could be ovulating but late & missing your fertile window repeatedly. If so, your egg is meeting it's demise without sperm to find it first. Charting using fertility friend can help you get an idea of when/if you ovulate. That will help you time your sex better to achieve pregnancy. I just got done taking the tutorials & they are extremely helpful. Good luck! Also, some friendly advice-- when people ask you questions to clarify what you originally posted, you'd probably get more advice by being pleasant. Don't bite peoples' heads off & they'd be more apt to help you.
Good luck.
Granted, I don't have a PhD in calendar studies or anything, but you clearly said that you've been trying to get pregnant for a year and have only been off depo for 8 months:
And 8 months is 4 months less than a year.
