who did them? do you think they are worth the money to have it done?
Hudson valley ultrasound has a package for $149 to do an 3Dd- 4D ultrasound around 26-34 weeks and they also offer for you to come in around 15-22 weeks for a gender 2D ultrasound.
Thanks!
Re: 3/d ultrasounds
we did a 2d one with a sneak peek in 4D at an elective place in Scarsdale to determine sex at a little over 16 weeks with this pregnancy. I wanted the sex confirmed by a new set of eyes for my brother's wedding (which it was- and has been since confirmed again and again). My MFM's tech told me I was having a girl just before 15 weeks, and I wasn't too sure whether that could be reliable since it was SO early (apparently it was).
I'm not sure whether we're going back for the 3D since I can always ask my MFM to do it for me (they did with my angel pregnancy), but we may. It is very cool to see the baby in 3D/4D. I heard 28-30 were the best weeks to do it just as an FYI.
I did, I liked it and have the pictures still for both kids. We didn't pay at all though, my group has the machines. Also since C was high risk we went again and again to check hands and feet throughout the pregnancy because I was a nervous wreck.
MKMG did mine and I know they have a new Ultrasound office in Fishkill, opposite of Walmart behind Starbucks plaza.
My OB's office also has the u/s machine so all of mine where done in the office and I only had to pay a $20 co-pay each time they did one (no difference in co-pay whether it was 2D or 3D) so I got quite a few throughout my pregnancy and each time the tech usually switched it over to 3D for half of the exam. The pics were kind of creepy but I still liked them.
It's hard for me to answer this question though if I had to pay a lot more would I still have done them....probably. I think it's a nice keepsake and it was exciting to see.
