T&P

So the town I went to college in is about an hour away and was absolutely devastated by flash flooding yesterday after 9 inches of rain. The whole town is under water as is the zoo. So far the zoo has lost 14 animals to drowning. The goats, sheep, and donkey have all passed away. The polar bear was able to swim out of his enclosure but they found him on the zoo grounds. And the 2 seals for found swimming out on a street outside the zoo grounds. Someone who lives out there called it in that the seals had escaped. Here is a link to some of the photos it is so sad. We were planing on taking Eli to the zoo there next weekend which is not going to happen now.

  • Wow! The seal looks so scared. That is crazy! I hope everything settles down and recovers quickly.
  • That is so sad! I didn't want to look at the pictures though, I'm such an animal lover and crying at work again isn't good lol.

I hope they are able to save the rest of the animals :(
