Hi Ladies, I have a bitt of a situation, I am having to leave my current job because of a move on July 13, I am hoping to get a transfer to another location that we have, but no garuntees I will get in there, I would like to know what you think of my resignation letter.

Thanks!

To whom it may concern,

I, ******  ***** Will be resigning from my position as a Call Center Customer Service Representative at ******  **, (***) as of July 13 2012.

I will be moving, and the *** is too far, I was hoping to be able to get a transfer to the **** **** location, should such a position become available I would be pleased to transfer, and not have to leave ***** *****, as I have enjoyed working for ****.

Sincerely

Wickedsugar

Re: Resignation Letter

  • To supervisors name (and another letter for HR),

I, ******  ***** Will be resigning from my position as a Call Center Customer Service Representative at ******  **, (***) as of July 13 2012.

I will be moving and the *** will be too far to travel. I am  hoping to be able to get a transfer to the **** **** location. Should such a position become available I would be pleased to transfer there. I have enjoyed working for **** and would like to stay with the company.

    Sincerely

I changed up the second paragraph because it was a run-on sentence.  It could still be tweaked but at least this is a good start. I would send one to your supervisor and HR.

I would also talk to your supervisor and let them know that you will be moving but really want to stay on with the company at the other location. Leave on a good note and you do yourself a favor. That way if you do not get transfered but a job opening comes up later the supervisor will be able to put in a good word for you. So see that there is a job opening and call supervisor and talk to them about it.

Thank You for the tweek, I knew there was something off !

My direct supervisor knows, as well as our operations manager. It is HR that said no, because the current location I am in is short staffed, so hopefully this will help sway HR, because I really don't want to start job hunting all over again.
