Re: How was your weekend?

    • Highs? So much! We saw Brave on Friday night (looooooved it!), my baby shower was on Saturday and it was wonderful, and I had a great time at a girls' lunch on Sunday.
    • Lows? Didn't get the laundry or grocery shopping done. E fought with one of his best friends, which was a bummer. They're boys, so they'll be fine, but he was frustrated and I was frustrated because I couldn't do anything to help. And I learned that my sister is losing the job she's had for 12 years. As a single-income household, this spells bad news. I feel terribly for her.
    • Eat/make anything good? I didn't cook a damn thing this weekend, but we had Chick-fil-a after the movie on Friday (I'm addicted to the fries and new cheese sauce they have), my baby shower had yummy food, and the tacos I had at Paladar on Sunday were the best I've ever had. Oh, and I tried a new pineapple slush from Sonic and it was amazeballs. Totally satisfied my (now constant) craving for something cold and fruity.
    • Watch anything good? I watched a lot of Rizzoli & Isles from the DVR, but that was it. E crashed early last night, so I didn't even get to watch True Blood.
    • Read anything good? Nope, didn't read anything this weekend.
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? It was just nice to have a really excellent weekend. I'm so thankful for the family and friends who joined us to celebrate on Saturday, I had a wonderful time catching up with my favorite cousin (who stayed with us Friday and Saturday night), lots of quality time with my daughter, and I adore my husband.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? I'm not "looking forward" to it so much, but my next fetal echo-cardiogram is Thursday and I'm anxious to find out what they see. Saturday I'm hosting a baby shower for one of my best friends and I'm looking forward to that, though oooooh do I have a lot to do this week!

    • Highs? Caroline sleeping for 7.5 hours on Saturday night.
    • Lows? Annabelle throwing fit after fit this weekend. I may take up drinking vodka again!
    • Eat/make anything good? I picked up these mushroom stuffed with lobster from Wegman's on Friday night (they were yummy)
    • Watch anything good? Soccer on Sunday (England vs Italy)
    • Read anything good? I hope to finish reading "Home for the Summer"
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc?
    • AW: I'm so impressed by Caroline's sleeping lately. And I love this stage where she just smiles and coo's all the time. Makes my heart melt.
    • VENT: What happened to my lovable two year old. DH and I were just saying last night, we wish we could have a do-over. On Friday afternoon she came home with an attitude and it just escalated from there all weekend. We tried to do something fun with her (went to the please touch museum in Philly) she did okay, but by Saturday night she was screaming and carrying on again. Yesterday she pitched three fits and at first I thought it was from the lack of sleep, but I can't say that's it either. We finally had to start taking things away she likes, no pool date, no donut this morning. I'm seriously at my wits in with her. When she starts to scream, so does the baby. I can't take two screaming kids. I just hope this week her attitude changes.
    • Housing news: We have some painting to do before we can list the house. We are still waiting to hear what the realtor numbers come in at. We also hope to start looking this coming weekend.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? DH and I are heading to the O's game with friends on Saturday.

    • Highs? My birthday! DH made it an amazing weekend for me, got me a new awesome camera, surprised me by getting my PA friends down here, setting them up with a hotel and Saturday night was just a really good time with friends.
    • Lows? Bailey had a fever of 104.5 on Friday so that was worrisome but after a trip to the ped infections were ruled out and she was feeling better by Saturday afternoon. Saturday was also sad because it was the 1-year anniversary of my mom's passing. My sweet aunts sent me such beautiful flowers though, which was so thoughtful.
    • Eat/make anything good? My FIL brought over 30 (since I'm now 30) mini cupcakes from Flavor cupcake shop. Y.U.M.
    • Watch anything good? Didn't watch any TV.
    • Read anything good? Nope.
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? I am doing so much better in my Summer class (I vented a few weeks ago how hard it was and how crazy the professor is) and I am feeling such relief that I'm doing better.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Visiting friends and family in PA, possibly a date day with DH this weekend.

    • Highs? fun weekend
    • Lows? just that it was hot
    • Eat/make anything good? mango key lime cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory
    • Watch anything good? Rock of Ages - it was really really good.
    • Read anything good? halfway through Mockingjay
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc?
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Friday!
    • Highs? It was a really fun weekend! My sister and BIL came to visit on Saturday and then BIL and SIL came over Sat night to babysit while DH and I went out. We had a great date night at Melting Pot and then watched a movie at home. Sunday, DH and DS went to ILs and I had a "free day"! I ran lots of errands which resulted in the return of my newly resized wedding rings, some desperately needed new clothes for me, and a couple things for DS. Sun evening we went to dinner with our friends and their kids.
    • Lows? I didn't get hardly anything done around the house. DS woke up early Sunday and only napped about 45 minutes all day (in 3 separate naps).
    • Eat/make anything good? Melting Pot!
    • Watch anything good? Transformers: Dark of the Moon
    • Read anything good? No
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? After my errands on Saturday I felt really productive, which I love, but then I got home and saw what a wreck my kitchen was and I knew I'd feel crappy about it if I didn't clean up.
    • This transition from bottles and baby food to milk and toddler food is stressing me out.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Going to dinner and a show with friends on Friday.

    • Highs? Had a great weekend. Went to exercise class both days, took Gracie to a new park, got a massage and facial, got my nails done, went to an engagement party and got to hang out with relatives we don't see very often. DH and FIL also installed our new front door.
    • Lows? New rib recipe last night sucked.
    • Eat/make anything good? Had good cookout food at the e-party.
    • Watch anything good? The only thing I watched was Mob Wives Chicago.
    • Read anything good? Still reading Nora Roberts' Tribute.
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc?  I wish we got to see the fun side of our family more than the annoying side.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Lunch with family friends on Wednesday.
    • Highs? Had a great weekend! Went to Eastport a rockin on Sat and saw some great local bands!  H, my brother and I went to the BBQ Battle in DC on Sunday and sampled our way around.

    • Lows? That I have to be here today!

    • Eat/make anything good? We had amazing BBQ from a few different places yesterday.

    • Watch anything good? Not really.

    • Read anything good? No reading was done this weekend.

    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc?  Comment: The lady who is renting my condo is going to stay until Nov, so that takes a huge weight off my shoulders!
FFC: I think I am going to take off the Thurs and Fri after 4th of July just because. I know that isn't a huge one, but I need a mental break from this place.

    • What are you looking forward to this week? Nothing too exciting going on this week. My class will be over next week and I can't wait for it to be done!

    • Highs? Enjoying the last of our vacation to OBX, taking a nap yesterday, getting DD a new doll and watching her interact with it
    • Lows? Returning from vacation to the real world. It was back to laundry, grocery shopping and meal planning.
    • Eat/make anything good? Nah.
    • Watch anything good? I thought about watching tv Sunday afternoon but then I napped instead :)
    • Read anything good? No
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? My due date is 3 months from today! I haven't been freaking out too much since we know it's another girl and I sort of know what to expect with the whole childbirth and bringing home a new baby thing, but I got really sad over the weekend when I thought about how I will have to give my attention to the new baby and that will take away from DD. I know it's stupid and people have second children all the time and it's beneficial to the first child to have a sibling, blah blah blah, but i still got sad. I'll get over it since I have no choice in the matter, damn pregnancy hormones.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? The weekend. And perhaps I will try one of the pineapple slushies from Sonic that LLHR recommended. I also have the constant fruity/chilled craving.

    • Highs? Our new Cavalier, Fleetwood! (see other post)
    • Lows? The heat is killing us. We need a new AC unit, but can't afford it, so our house is generally hotter than it should be. Not like "we're going to die and our animals are unsafe" hot, but "if I move around slightly too much or turn the oven on to cook dinner, I'm sweating" hot.
    • Eat/make anything good? We had a friend over for dinner Saturday night and had a yummy dinner: Prosciutto- and goat cheese-stuffed chicken breasts, balsamic-tossed pasta with fresh tomatoes, and fresh corn on the cob (our friend's dad is a farmer, so he brought it straight from the farm in lower Delaware)
    • Watch anything good? I watched the first four episodes of The Walking Dead on Netflix. I'm not a zombie person, but I'm caught up in it.
    • Read anything good? no books this weekend
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? I don't have much to crow or vent about this week. Just crossing my fingers that my husband gets the new job he interviewed for last week.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Spending time with the new dog
    • Highs? We went to the 1st birthday for one of my best friends/college roomate.  It had been way too long since we've seen them, it was nice. Last night we went to the IL's and had a nice relaxing time.
    • Lows? Not anything specific, but DH and I had a serious conversation about our house, it's current value (or at least what we think it would be looking at comparables), and all the work we still need to do, it's depressing.
    • Eat/make anything good? My FIL smoked some ribs and chicken last night which was really good
    • Watch anything good? True Blood
    • Read anything good? No, I've been looking for something good to read, but haven't found it
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc?
    • What are you looking forward to this week?  not much

  • Highs? DH and my date to see Able Lincoln Vampire Hunter and then El Salto for dinner.
Lows? AF came, grrr. On to cycle #2!
Eat/make anything good? El Salto carne asada. Soooo goooood.
Watch anything good? Watched a few Nip/Tuck episodes. I'm liking it so far. And True Blood last night.
Read anything good? Just some internet articles/boards.
FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? I have a new, biggish project at work, and I hope I do well on it. It's new territory for me, so I'm a little nervous.
What are you looking forward to this week? A little cool off in the weather, seeing DH's band play on Friday night.
