  • I did! Thanks for asking! Big Smile

He came home super early yesterday morning. I told him I'd get Caitlin up since he didn't sleep much. I put her big sister shirt on and have her the positive pregnancy test to bring to him. It was all going as planned until we got into the bedroom and daddy woke up, but rather than Caitlin going up to him, she ran all over the room. Hehe. Needless to say, he saw the test she was waving all around while running before noticing her shirt. He was still super surprised though! I did get it all on video which is cool.

We ended up telling our immediate family yesterday. For everyone else, we are waiting till we are closer to 12 weeks. Most of our families are in RI, and his parents are on vacation, so we ended up Facetiming them with Caitlin in her shirt. It was funny to see the reactions.. some of them took like 5 minutes to notice what it said! :)

  • That is so sweet. Waiting is hard isn't it? We told our immediate family and then best friends at about 8-9 weeks. I couldn't have kept it in much longer. And hubby and I are social drinkers and I was running out of excuses lol

  • I totally agree..it is hard! When we were pregnant last time with Caitlin, we told our immediate family and some very close friends right away as well. We waited on everyone else until 12 weeks. It's so hard to keep a secret like that though. Hopefully I won't get caught with the not drinking thing this summer! Last time I was pregnant during lent so I could just say I gave up alcohol...that won't work this time. :)

  • Awww... how sweet! I imagine that is one of those fun, exciting moments! :) Does Caitlin understand what it means to be a big sister yet? :)

I think that often when a married woman normally drinks and then doesn't, it automatically makes people double glance because they're hypersensitive to it... so you may not get away with it but hey... what happens happens, right? :) Enjoy the growing blessing inside of you! :)
