Excited about poop!

Short story for Penny.  She's been pooping about once an hour for the last 3 months. Vet thought she had addison's, but it was negative.  Now they think she has EPI.  We've done a food switch to grain free and also have been giving her pineapple (Ordered enzymes but waiting on them to be shipped)

Last night I came home from work and she had made it EIGHT hours without pooping in her kennel!

Not sure at what point I crossed in my life to be so excited about poop, or lack of poop I should say.  But boy it was exciting!

Came home from work today and she had only been kept in her kennel about four hours.  And although she had an accident, it was fairly solid!  Quite exciting!

Re: Excited about poop!

  • I hope you get this figured out. Sounds quite exhausting!!

  • The amount of laundry I do is the exhausting part!

  • Good news!  I will say this though. If she does have EPI, they are known for eating poop because it is still "food" really.

If she does end up having EPI (have the done the blood test yet), you will become obsessed with poop. I used to have many photos of poop on my phone to compare. If someone found it, they would think I had a weird fetish.

The poop of an EPI dog tells a story and having photos helps others give better advice as to what's going on.

Are they starting her on enzymes without confirming the disease?  Did I give you the website epi4dogs?  It is a great site and a great forum (if you need it).
