PSA: Rug Sale and Soliciting Opinions

RugsUSA is having a sale today only where a ton of rugs are 75% off! Promo code is SUMMER75.

That being said, I need to choose one.  Our current carpet is very thin and brown.  I want to layer it with a light rug to lighten up the room.

  • I like number one but I feel like cleaning spit up etc off of it would be tough.

I was going to to to go with either 2 or 3 for that same reason.  I can imagine all sorts of stuff ending up on the carpet in a nursery and then eventually a child's room.  #1 looks like it would be hard to clean.

  • One would be my personal favorite because I like softer rugs on my feet but I voted for 2 b/c of what Wendy said... it'd be easier to clean. I also like that it has the outer border, a little texture. If you dont mind the cleaning thing, number 1 would feel nicer on the feet in the middle of the night when you're up. :)
  • I too really like the 1st one, but agree with the other ladies that it may be hard to keep clean. Otherwise I would choose #2.

I never even thought of that. We have a rug similar to it in our basement and I love it, so I picked it in the poll.

  • The cleaning thing is the only thing I'm kind of concerned about with number 1.  Other than that, I love the texture it adds, and it looks super plush and fluffy and nice to sit/ stand/ walk on. I'm torn, but I think I'm going to go for 1.  I'll have to ask DH when he gets home.  I love nursery decorating!!!
