What to do for H's bday?
H's bday is next week (Tuesday) and I have no idea what to do for him. He is going on a 2 day business trip Tuesday and will be back super late Wednesday night (after midnight most likely).
I'd like to make him a nice dinner Monday night. Any ideas on what to make? I'll probably grill. I'm at a loss. We're not big birthday revellers, but I'd like to do something nice.

I was sick on DH's birthday and I felt so bad because I had plans for family to come over and celebrate and then that weekend we were going out to dinner together... it was a mess. We did end up celebrating his birthday once I was feeling better a week or so later.
What about making a cake? Does he like cake?
I usually try to make something I don't make all the time that he likes. Or we go out somewhere we don't go all the time. We don't really make a huge deal out of birthdays.
Does he have a favorite meal? Something of yours he particularly likes? If you're grilling, maybe a nice steak? If it were my DH I'd grill some sweet potatoes too, he loves those!
I'm not much help here. Sorry. But if he likes cake or a certain kind of dessert I would do that!
