Moms of older babies, have you started potty training? If so any tips and/or advice? Eli is asking to go potty multiple times a day but I was so not ready for this!
TIA

Re: Moms
My doctor told me that DH and I really have to talk it up. Walk by the big boy underwear and be like "Look at these cool superman underwear! Maybe KR will get to use them when he starts using the potty!"
Basically get him excited about being a big boy, and not necessarily talking to him all the time about it, but talking about it to other people around him.
I obviously haven't tried that yet though...
We tried b/c it seemed that she was showing interest, but it didn't really work out. She can't really verbalize herself to tell us she has to go, but she knows when she has a wet/dirty diaper b/c she grabs at it. She is also very curious about when we use the bathroom. We got her to "potty" a few times, but half the time I'm not sure she made the connection, and then other times, she cried afterwards. I think she felt like she did something wrong or was scared b/c it wasn't her diaper.
I am totally curious about this 3 day potty training thing I keep hearing about. I'll have to look more into it. I absolutely am not going to push it with her, but I'm not going to lie, it would be fabulous to have her trained before baby #2 comes!
Tara is the 3 day thing the potty boot camp? I just got the book and I am pretty sure that is what we will be doing after the 4th of july. We have so much going on next week/weekend that I am pretty sure we are going to start that monday when I can stay home with him for a few days.
Eli has "told" us for a long time that he had a long time when he had a wet/dirty diaper but now he knows the words, poop, pee, and potty so I really think that will help.
