Twofer Tuesday Randoms

Morning Friends!

SS said that he likes sumer school better than regular school. I'm not sure if because its shorter or just one class.

I'm down 5 lbs so far this month. Need to hit the gym again today. Is it wrong for me to be made that the Y closed at 10pm. I would much rather it closed at say 11:30pm so I could go at night and watch the TV shows I don't get to watch because we don't have cable. I'm only asking for a few days during the week.

Re: Twofer Tuesday Randoms

  • Congrats on the weight loss! I think an 11 or 11:30 closing time for a gym is reasonable.

Walking has become challenging for me (I am 35 weeks along) So I really need to get up early and go to the pool.  I think Mike is riding his bike to work tomorrow, so I should commit to a Thursday morning swim.

  • I have lost 13 lbs in the last month. I am clear to start working out on the 1st. All those medical stuff going on, etc. I told hubby that I lost the weight and he goes good now you need to lose 100 and I said no  67. He shook his head and got al snarky. Ugh. Oh well. I am doing what I want to do.

  • Good morning everyone!

Congrats on the weight loss, that is awesome! What are you doing, if you don't mind my asking?

SO and I have been looking at houses lately. If anyone is willing to share, how much of a down payment (if any) did you put on your home? (percentage would be fine).

  • Teach: I've been using sparkpeople.com  I've decreased my soda intake, uped my water intake and started to eat more fresh foods while trying to cut back on dairy products. I've also increased my sleep time. I try to make it to the gym 5 days a week which really means I get there 2-3 times. (Ok maybe I get 2x a week but I try) Sadly this is everything that my DH also told me to do. My goal is to 35 lbs by the end of September.

When DH bought our house he did a 0% down with an 80/20 split mortgage. I think the recommendation is between 10-20%.

I need to start drinking a lot more water during the day because my ankles swell up during the summer time. Ugh

  • Afternoon all!

Congrats on the weight loss everyone! Keep up the good work!

Teacher - We have an FHA loan, I believe, and I think we only had to put a minimum of 3.5% down. Would have really liked to put down more but we took a huge loss on the sale of our old house and paid out about $10k in closing costs and the difference between what we sold it for and owed still. Really is a buyers markets still. We went through Chemical Bank for our mortgage and the guy we worked with was great!
