  • The ticker is confusing too. Does it actually have the due date? All I see is a lady bug and a ton of numbers. What do the numbers mean? And why do pregnant people always talk in terms of weeks. It is so confusing for us childless people.  When someone says, "Oh I am nine weeks along" I have to count with my fingers: 4, 8 - okay, that is two months and one week. That is a lot of brain power for someone with my small capacity.

    Anyhoo. Congrats. Again.

I'm the exact opposite! I get so confused when people ask me how far along I am. I know they want months so I just throw something out there. My mind thinks in terms of  weeks even before pregnancy since I work in OB a lot.

I know, I always tried to answer in months to men or childless females....and I always embarrassed myself doing the math. Weeks were way easier for me. But I totally get that for people who have not been pregnant, months are much more straightforward!
