This is probably going to be a long one.
My day of coordinator was amazing. Once I decided to hire one, I interviewed quite a few. She was the last one I interviewed, because I hired her on the spot. She just stood out.
She was more than a DOC. I emailed her multiple times a week, and she answered every question, along with all the helpful advice. I don't know what I would've done without her... and I still continue to tell her that!
Her and her daughter started their business a couple years ago, and it's amazing how much their business has grown! When I got married, her daughter was 9 months pregnant (I was actually the last wedding before a break they took for the baby). So her daughter wasn't able to be at the wedding.
I'm friends with her on facebook, and keep in touch with her. They posted last week that she's been undergoing some tests, but they don't have a diagnosis yet. Well, they just posted on facebook that she has cancer. Multiple myeloma. I don't know much about it, but from what I've looked up it doesn't look good, at all. And it doesn't look like any treatment will help.
When reading through everything, and thinking about it, I just cried. I can't imagine what her and her family are going through - they are all so close. I feel like I should do something. Send a note, make a donation, I don't know. I just can't imagine.
Okay, I probably didn't need to share all that, and I'm not sure where I'm going with it. I just feel so bad.

Re: So sad.
Oh Km, My heart goes out to that family. I want to cry just reading and thinking about it. And bles your heart for being such a careing person.
I think sending a card letting them know they all are in our thoughts and prayers would be so nice. You could also send along an eddible arrangement. Not sure what else you can do but let them know you support them.
