We are considering a road trip to Montreal and possibly Quebec City from Chicago. We will have our infant with us who will be about 5 or 6 months depending on when we go this fall. If you have been did you enjoy these cities? We were considering Quebec City because I have read it has a european old world vibe. Is it worth driving the extra distance (we are coming from Chicago)? TIA.
Edit- I should mention our daughter is VERY laid back and slept through the night by 3 weeks so I'm not too concerned about traveling with her, however, we also considered a beach vacation to the Gulf Coast rather than sightseeing a city if you think it would be too difficult.
Re: Has anyone been to Quebec City and/or Montreal?
i love montreal, it is a great city ... highly recommend.
in my experience, traveling with an infant is MUCH easier than traveling with a toddler or pre-schooler ... enjoy montreal now, do the gulf coast when she is older.
I've been to both and prefer Quebec for the "old world" charm of it. (I should preface that with the fact that I'm not much of a city person in general).
And 6 months is a great time to be traveling for babes. That's when they start getting fun. Get a carrier you love and hit the town.
Quebec City is awesome!! Definitely worth the extra drive. Very romantic, and gorgeous. Great food, too.
