i have had the worst back problems since m was born. i know this is partially hormonal, partially epi related probably, partially carrying around a baby. it just sucks.
when i went for my one year gyno appointment the midwife checked my abs and said they were all back together but crunches might help strengthen my back. any other pointers?

Pilates and/or yoga? My lower back was pretty bad a few years ago and the pain pretty much went away a few months into taking classes. The all-over core strength/balance that I gained was amazing.
The P90x ab workout is only 15 minutes long, but it's intense. Do it 3x a week. You probably won't get through it for at least a couple of weeks, but if you're consistent, it will get easier and you'll see big results. I absolutely noticed a decrease in lower back pain.

My primary care doctor wasnt concerned with the pain I described neither was the midwife. They both attributed it to having a baby and carrying said baby around.
Ill try the 15 min work out.
And chiropractor is not covered by our insurance so it's just not happening weekly visits are 15-20 and just not in our budget.
YOGA! Mr. erbur had a compressed disc from playing 17 years of football and found that once-a-week yoga practice alleviated the pain better than any painkillers or anti-inflammatory medicine.

Pay close attn to how you lift milo now that he's a big boy! Lift with the knees. Don't bend!
Try a foam roller. I've always had pain in my back and it wasn't until I started using a foam roller in a Pilates class that I finally found some relief. They're great because not only can you use them to work on your abs by doing crunches but they also massage your muscle while you work.
