EI Speech Therapist recs?
We're starting Early Intervention speech therapy for my daughter and were given a listing of local agencies and basically told to pick one. I was just wondering if anyone had experience with a local agency and could share their experiences - good or bad. Thanks!

Re: EI Speech Therapist recs?
what county are you located in?
Many therapists only work county based.
I am in Putnam. My son was evaluated by a woman Out of Peeskill, I can't remember name and am on vacation right now. We did not qualify, his receptive was too high versus his actual talking.
I have also used the John Coleman school in White Plains for an OT eval. Next we we are trying A place out of Kid Abilities for OT again. Ask for a checklist, standardized tests don't also paint an accurate picture (my son hasn't qualified even with a deformed hand bc the tests aren't specific enough).
I am based out of Carmel, Kathy the EI lady is awesome too. Let me know if you have any more questions, I will be seeing the whole team July 2nd.
