TGIF! Any fun weekend plans?
I have errands to run today with the kids. But, hopefully we can get them done early and be able to sneak some fun in.
Saturday: finish up any errands we didn't get to today.
Sunday: church with the family, then friends are coming over for a visit. It's been too long since we last saw them.
Re: TGIF! Any fun weekend plans?
TGIF for sure!
I plan to spend as much of the weekend hiding from the heat as possible. Tonight we will probably put in the 2 air conditioners for downstairs. During the hot days a week or two ago we put in the ones in the bedrooms, but not downstairs. If it's hot all weekend, there's no way we'll make it without the ones downstairs.
No real plans for Saturday or Sunday - try to work on the house projects we have going. We really need to get moving on Tynan's "big boy room" but I have absolutely no clear vision for what we want the room to look like other than DH's requested Aviation theme. We had a really great plan for the nursery (gender neutral since we were/are team green) and it went really smoothly and we love it, but we want to re-use the room as it is for LO#2. I have no idea why it's so much harder for me to make a gender-specific room than a gender-neutral one.
I might try to find a kiddie pool so Tynan can play in the water outside without overheating. Anyone prefer the inflatables, or do the cheap plastic ones work fine?
That website is great, thanks! These are the 2 rooms I have pinned on Pinterest. We have a bunch of prints, photos, b/w sketches that DH has collected that he wants to include in the room, so we're definitely doing some sort of gallery wall. I think we need to just start with bedding, or a rug, or some major piece that we can coordinate everything to. Just have to find the right one!
Ooooh! I just found this fabric that I absolutely love love love!
DS's favorite color is orange, and I've been struggling to find anything airplane related that wasn't red/white/blue. But I absolutely love this fabric! Now to see if DH likes it, and actually find the time to sew a duvet or comforter!
(sorry to take over the weekend post with my design issues, Alicia! I feel silly starting any more threads. I'm sure people are sick of "listening" to me...)
