Let's see if we can get the board moving a bit today!
Our anniversary month is almost here, and I don't think I've heard anyone talk about plans! What's everyone doing to celebrate this year? Plans? Gifts?
Re: Anniversary Plans?
Hunger Games finally made it to the $2 theater so we are going to see that and go to dinner.
He needs a new wallet and I want a new purse so that is what we are getting eachother. It is fitting too because the traditional 3rd anniversary gift is leather.
I wish I had a better answer to my own poll
I have class the night of our anniversary, and the weekend following it, so that stinks. Brett will have football the day of in the morning, so we'll probably do something low-key in the afternoon before I go to class. Maybe get some lunch somewhere and go to the pool.
We don't usually do gifts for anniversary. His birthday is June 23 and mine is August 7 so three holidays in a row is a little much. We'll do cards for each other and that will be it!
I really have no idea. For our previous anniversaries, we've planed vacations so we could be out of town. That didn't work out this year. I keep asking M what he wants to do, but so far nothing. He finally told me the other day that he'll take care of it. So I'm guessing either a night in a hotel or a fancy dinner.
Not sure if any gifts will be involved either. We've not done gifts in the past, but I'd like to this year since we wont be OOT.
Our anniversary is 2 days before we move so we gave way too much going on to worry about gifts , etc. If we can find someone to watch the baby for a little but, we will try a dinner out.
I'll watch him!
I have a project due the day before our anniversary and a final the day after so we are keeping it really low key.
I will be recreating our reception dinner ( fried chicken, green beans, Mac and cheese) and wedding cake (lemon cake with buttercream icing) the best I can with dairy free substitutes. I know the cake will turn out well because I did a practice run already. The Mac and cheese is from a vegan blog and I have yet to try it, so we will see. We have done this every anniversary so far and I love the tradition.
As far as gifts go, we haven't even talked about it. Maybe I should bring it up.... Lol.

I "stole" Kate's idea and ordered those luggage tags. As far as what we will do the day of our anniversary, no clue. Maybe go out for dinner if we can get a babysitter? B leaves literally the next day to go to Costa Rica for 5 days for a work related trip -- don't even get me started on that one!
Dan has to work on our actual anniversary, so on that date I think I'm going to the beach with my MOH during the day and then make dinner with DH that night.
We're doing a trip up to Vermont for our anniversary gift to each other a couple weeks after the anniversary.
We really don't have any plans. Last year we were in Paris (not sure much can top that!!). I was hoping that we could do a long weekend somewhere because we're not doing a big vacation like we have done the last couple of years. We have yet to book anything, though. Our kitchen reno is taking longer than we had planned thanks to the broken cabinets. I'm still holding out hope that we can get away maybe next weekend.
I'm not sure if we'll do gifts. I am thinking of potentially ordering those luggage tags--if someone wants to post the link again for me!
That's exciting!!!!
Thanks! I'm both scared and excited! Scared because I honestly don't know how I will be able to love multiple children the same way I love Lucas. But, I hear it just happens.
And excited to see if my body will really cooperate and make a baby with no medical intervention.
David took our anniversary off because he told me once who knows when that he would take every anniversary off work (since he would be at work for a full 48 hours if he happened to work our anniversary). I had forgotten about this promise, and I have a board meeting all night for work. So yeah. Oops. Wife fail (not that I can do anything about a board meeting).
We'll probably go out to dinner sometime that week, but I don't think we're doing presents or anything this year.

Mmmm... Lawry's... YUM
Have you guys been to the Stinking Rose? Also good but Lawry's is AWESOME! Enjoy!
Yum! My favorite! I wish we were going to MP for dinner, but I can't fully enjoy it because mine uses unpasteurized Gorgonzola cheese, which is my fav, boo
I am so looking forward to it in September though for my bday after this baby comes! If family isn't here to watch the baby, we'll just take him/her with us, because Momma needs her MP fix!
