There is a Bear on my Street!

So was watching some tv while H was doing the last coat of paint on one of the rooms downstairs and glanced outside and saw a bear!!! We live near nature, but not close enough to actually have wildlife in our yard so to see a bear walking down the street was pretty crazy and a little bit scary. Hoping he doesnt come back!!! Any of the rest of you have any interesting visitors?

If you are intrested in the pictures check out:

  • that is cool! I love bears...I know they just cute but not cuddly though. It would definitely be scary to see one walking down the street.

  • That's crazy!

I live in New England and I feel like there have been a lot of bear sightings recently. Not only where I live (in Western Mass - where's it's not unheard of) but out on Cape Cod! They believe it was the first bear on the Cape since the 1700's.

  • Yikes!  We don't have anything nearly that exciting.  I haven't actually seen any strange animals on our street, but I imagine that deer & turkeys would be as wild as it would come.  Although there was a cougar apparently roaming the area about a year ago, and they don't have a natural habitat anywhere near here.

  • A bear??? WOW that is beyond crazy. We have the deer or random cats and dogs but nothing near as exciting or scary.
  • That's awesome! We don't have bears in this area, usually. There was a bear that somehow made it to Cape Cod, he was moved to western Mass and somehow made it back to suburban Boston! They moved him again. Otherwise, we have deer, rabbits, and birds. And a neighbor's cat that hunts the bunnies. You got some great shots of the bear, and it was wise to stay inside!

  • Holy Teledo!That was a big bear!

We usually have bear cubs, wolves and fox come around but we are a super isolated town. Usually always adolescent animals though never fully grown like that! Crazy!!

  • I have ALWAYS wanted to see a bear in real life.  He seems pretty chill, just lookin for a spot to sip his cup o joe...
