Hi ladies! How's everyone's weekend going?
I don't know about you, but I haven't been behaving that well the past few days, and I don't see it getting any better with my bday tomorrow and the 4th on Wednesday.
So I wanted to ask you ladies, what's your plan to keep from going overboard on holidays like the 4th, or Canada Day?
I use my Fitness Pal and my daily calorie goal is 1600. I try to stay under that by a few hundred (sometimes I think their calorie estimates are off), and if I don't I try to keep under 2000, because then I figure I at least shouldn't be gaining any weight. Except for my bday tomorrow, because everyone knows there are no calories on you bday!
Re: diet discussion
definitely no calories on your bday! i play by those rules too ;-)
i used myfitnesspal for a while, but then just got really tired of trying to figure out the nutritional info of all the recipes i make. so i quit and we just try to practice portion control. when we go out we usually split an entree and we try not to eat until we're stuffed. i also try to focus on cooking with fresh produce and lean meats. (we eat a TON of chicken haha trying to turn DH onto fish)
i recently got a new bicycle so i've been biking everywhere, i'm hoping that'll burn some extra calories.. we'll see
happy early birthday! have fun tomorrow!

Oh yeah, no calories on your birthday!
I'm doing pretty good with my eating. I've been trying to get back into using myfitnesspal but I agree with PP, it's too complicated to track foods that are pre-packaged. I'm trying to use portion control, which is a problem for me.
Today is one month until our honeymoon so I'm going to up my cardio for the next few weeks and hope that helps me lose a few more pounds before we go. I've lost 1 pound since I last weighed myself.
I joined weight watches 3 weeks ago. It's going ok, but hubby is a junk food junkie and sometimes I fall off the wagon. I weigh in tomorrow, but am down 5 lbs since the wedding. I have 20 more to go before goal weight.
I only drink water or unsweet iced tea and gave up all other drinks, it was hard a first but now it's not a big deal. I think that saves tons of calories.
