I'm trying to have several different plans as far as my job goes for the fall. Here is where I am at so far:
Plan A: Get hired to teach at an Elementary School- I am applying weekly, but haven't had any interviews scheduled in over a week. Principals are on summer vacation and I might start getting calls the end of this week for interviews.
Plan B (Dependent on if DH gets a better paying job): Sub in as many school districts as possible in order to get my foot in the door and have a possible part time job at night.
Plan C: Stay at the childcare if I can't get hired in Elementary and DH doesn't get better paying job. I'm not happy there, but I do get paid ok for being in childcare.
Plan D (considering adding to the table): Returning to retail management. There are several postings for Store and Assistant Managers in our area. The only problem is they may not hire me because of my availability. My hours would be more similiar to DH, but still not the same.
So many different choices with so many different variables that are completely out of my control. I wish I just knew what was going to happen this coming fall. It will be so nice when everything finally falls into place.
How is everyone elses job search going??

Re: Plan D: Retail Management
I feel like we're stuck on a rowboat with no oars. Joy and I both have several trips planned and at some point she wants to start working on kids. So pretty much leaves her stuck where she's at and I'm feeling somewhat trapped due to needing the paid time off.
I do have a company that wants to talk to me on Tuesday and another that wants to interview me, but their HR people seem kinda slow to make it happen.
The one restaurant she works at is closing on Jul 9 and the new owner is renovating for a month. So her last day will be on the 7th. She could pick up those times at the other restaurant, but I think we'd like to keep those open for us.
