Re: Avett Brothers/ Red Rocks

  • Last year, I volunteered at the Life is Good Festival in Canton, MA, and they played there.  They were fantastic!  (and so was the rest of the festival, haha!  Good Vibes!)

Thanks for reminding me to check if they are in the lineup this year, too!  :)

    Anniversary
  • The Avett Bros are one of my favorites!!  i lived in Charlotte (just outside where they're from) and we used to see them play all.the.time.  they put on such a good show!

DH surprised me at our wedding reception.  he learned how to play one of my favorite songs (Offering from the Live Album Vol. 2) and played it for me in front of everyone, it was so sweet and romantic, i cried more at that than i did at the ceremony!  haha

Also, our first dance was to Swept Away (the Sentimental Version) on Mignonnette  :-D

Now that we're out in Colorado, I've love to get a chance to see them at Red Rocks!

  • Aww, so happy there are some other Avett fans here : ) So, so good!

@comeongetdown- RUN to see any show at Red Rocks!!! I think we're going to try to go back for either Cake or Florence & the Machine- Wish Mumford & Sons wasn't sold out : (

  • I'm simply jealous... I wanted to see that one. But good thing I didn't get tickets since it's just been work work work these days. Finally home for an evening.

Red Rocks is always worth it. I was hoping to get out to Film on the Rock too... it's such a blast.

When is Cake? I've been listening to them since they were a local Sacramento band.

July 28th- I think The Lumineers are opening for them. Loved Cake since high school :)

    SO JEALOUS.

They have two shows in September, I think :)

Last time we went camping was in Rocky Mtn. N'tl Park- EVERY night elk would surround the tent and eat the grass. It was super unnerving to wake up to the sounds of tufts of grass being pulled up all around you... Got very little sleep that trip ;)
